Logging meals and foods

Build your food library, turn favourite dishes into recipes, and log a meal in a few taps.

Meals are logged from foods you save once and reuse. The first few take a minute; after that a meal takes seconds.

Log a meal

  1. Open Log and tap Log a meal, or tap it on Today.
  2. Find a food by name, or tap Add a new food the first time.
  3. Set how many servings, add anything else you ate, and save the meal.

Calories and protein are added to today straight away. Made a mistake? Every entry has Undo.

Add a food

A food needs a name, one serving (in grams or millilitres, with a name like “1 cup”), calories and protein. Carbohydrate, fat, fibre and sugar are optional. You can add a photo so it is easy to spot in the list.

Drinks can also record caffeine and alcohol, and whether they count toward water. Non-alcoholic drinks count for most of their volume; alcohol does not count.

Build a recipe

Tap Build a recipe from my foods to combine foods you already have into one dish, such as an omelette or your usual breakfast. Say what one serving is, and the recipe logs like any other food. If an ingredient changes, the recipe changes with it.

Change or archive a food

Change or archive my foods lets you correct a food, or archive one you no longer eat so it stops appearing in search. Meals you already logged keep what they had.

No signal

Logging works with no connection at all. Entries are saved on your phone at once and sent when you are back online.
