No. Apexevo gives general fitness and nutrition guidance. It screens for the situations where that guidance could do harm and says so plainly, but it is not a doctor and does not replace one.

Apexevo is in beta, and the beta is free. There are no ads, and your data is never sold.

The beta is open to a small group first. Send a message from the contact page and you will hear back when there is a place for you.

Not for now. Apexevo is a phone app, because reminders, widgets and logging with no signal all need a phone. This site is about the app.

Your resting energy comes from the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, or from Katch-McArdle if you know your body fat. Your daily burn adds how active your job and your week are. Your goal then sets how far from that to go, never faster than a safe rate. Every figure in the app opens to show this working.

Some answers to the safety screen mean that counting calories could do more harm than good, such as a history of an eating disorder, pregnancy, or a recent injury or surgery. In those cases Apexevo keeps everything else and leaves the calorie target out, and tells you why.

Your plan follows you. A new weigh-in, new measurements or a changed answer can all move it. The weekly review lists each change, what moved and what set it off.

After a few steady weeks with no change, Apexevo notices and offers a choice, such as a week at maintenance. It never changes your plan without asking.

Yes. Everything you log is saved on your phone at once and sent when you are back online. You need a connection the first time you sign in on a phone.

Yes. Weight in kilograms or pounds, height in centimetres or feet and inches, distance in kilometres or miles, and your own glass size for water. Change them any time in Settings.

Reminders arrive as notifications, so they follow your phone’s silent and focus settings. An alarm option that can sound through silent mode is on its way.

It pauses and waits for you. Nothing is ever taken away, so the next day you log carries on from the same number. Streaks are off until you turn them on.

Yes, on both iPhone and Android. The widget shows today’s water, calories and protein, and the larger size has buttons to log a glass of water.

Yes. Settings has Export my data, which gives you everything as a file you can keep, and a spreadsheet version with a file for each kind of entry. You can also import an export back.

In the app, Settings, Delete account. Enter your password once more and your account goes at once, with every entry, photo and message it holds. It cannot be undone, so the same screen offers an export first.

If you have lost your phone, ask on the contact page and it will be done for you.

You. If you ask for help, the person supporting you can read your data, read only, and every look is recorded in a log that cannot be edited. Nobody else sees it, and it is never sold or used for ads.
